Nothing is more critical to a lab’s success than the quality, security, and traceability of samples. Lockbox LIMS provides robust sample tracking functionality to laboratory professionals, giving them full visibility on every aspect of their sample’s journeys, from accessioning to long-term storage.
From sample collection and initial QC through aliquoting, testing, and long-term storage, Lockbox has lab sample management covered.
From the moment your sample arrives, the Lockbox LIMS sample tracking system supports the tracking of samples in real-time you navigate through your lab’s unique processes.
The Lockbox LIMS sample tracking system handles every aspect of your sample’s lifecycle, from protocols to reporting and storage.
The sample management module is one of many modules available in Lockbox LIMS. This module provides users with the ability to track samples from accession through testing and long term storage.
During sample accessioning samples can be scanned into the system using barcode labels or added in bulk using Lockbox’s CSV import functionality. Sample record pages are then used to store all important sample information including names, storage locations, and a complete audit trail.
As samples move through laboratory workflows, Lockbox LIMS stores all testing information and recorded data. Once in storage, each samples exact location, down to their specific position in a box or plate, is stored in Lockbox. Automations can also be used throughout the samples lifecycle to track each samples status and generate reports in real-time.
Lockbox LIMS can support all sample types including biological specimens, manufactured materials, and environmental samples. Lockbox can also be used to track complex sample lineages for aliquots, derived samples, libraries, and pooled samples. As well as batches and plates for batch sample testing.
Lockbox LIMS barcode functionality allows users to preview and print unique, scannable barcodes for samples, reagents, plates, and lab equipment. These barcodes allow Lockbox users to quickly scan samples in and out of storage, track plates as they move through workflows, and manage inventory items as they are created and consumed.
In order to print barcodes Lockbox LIMS integrates with a variety of laboratory printers including Zebra and Dymo printers.
Yes! Using Lockbox’s CSV import functionality you can import all existing sample data into Lockbox LIMS with just a few clicks. Custom CSV import templates can be easily configured and used to capture sample names, unique identifiers, volume, concentration, and more for hundreds to thousands of samples at a time.
Lockbox LIMS provides users with the QA support needed to navigate the documentation, training, audit trail, and authentication processes required by government bodies and regulators. In addition to these LIMS implementation services, Third Wave offers LIMS computer system verification and validation services to ensure your labs computer systems meet regulatory guidelines.
Our LIMS experts offer broad experience in LIMS validation, specialized testing, traceability methodologies, and compliance expertise in HIPAA, GDPR, CLIA, ISO 17025, 21 CFR Part 11, 21 CFR Part 820, GAMP 5, and many others to help you meet your labs regulatory requirements.
