Integration with other systems, both in your lab and in other areas of your organization, is crucial for running your lab and business efficiently. Whether you need to connect with another cloud software, your single sign-on provider, or an offline instrument, we can help you make it happen. Say good-bye to manual data entry, with the integration power of Lockbox LIMS.
Lockbox LIMS can integrate with a wide range of laboratory instruments, from liquid handlers to NGS platforms.

All data must be in the right place at the right time to ensure all users and systems have the information they need to operate accurately and efficiently. For example:
Our integration experts can connect Lockbox LIMS to a multitude of other systems. Depending on the capabilities of the other system, we can use one or more of these types of integrations.
Lockbox LIMS is natively built on the Salesforce platform, so we can connect with your Salesforce CRM in either of two ways:
Absolutely! Our software is built natively on the Salesforce Platform and supports all APIs listed in the Salesforce API Library, including REST, Bulk, Graph, and SOAP.
We can create an API connection to or from nearly any other software that supports APIs. Over our history, we’ve created API connections to numerous other software packages, including Amazon Web Services, Azure, Benchling, Biotouch, CalREDIE, Eebu, FedEx, Google Cloud, Jira, Netsuite, Perthera, Quadax, Redox, RSFax, Salesforce, SAP, SharePoint, SmartQC, Spectrapath, Stripe, Synergene, TECAN, Therapak, and Xifin.
We support the configuration of any Single Sign-On solutions that leverage SAML or OpenID Connect. We have experience using Auth0, DUO, Google, JumpCloud, Microsoft, and Okta.
Lockbox LIMS can seamlessly communicate with nearly anything that supports standard APIs. However, many local lab instruments do not have native APIs that would enable this integration. A Lockbox instrument integration supports your organization in maintaining the highest level of network security by not piercing your local firewall. Your IT team pushes the instrument data to a secure cloud environment (like AWS or Azure), and Lockbox securely retrieves it from there via API. The same structure is used in reverse when sending files from Lockbox LIMS to an instrument.
Many of our clients start out by implementing a CSV-based approach that requires users to manually move CSV files between their instrument and Lockbox LIMS. This reduces the initial implementation cost, allows time for workflows to solidify, and facilitates a faster initial implementation. Once everything is working well, a more automated interface can be configured.
We will gladly come on-site to your location for kick-off meetings, to understand your work environment, etc. Additionally, we will provide cloud APIs and data mapping. However, your IT team, or trusted partner, will be responsible for any local networking or system configuration.
Large attachments should be stored in a dedicated file storage system, such as AWS S3. Lockbox LIMS can maintain a pointer to these files to ensure they can be quickly accessed from Lockbox LIMS.
