We want to make sure you get exactly the functionality you need, and that you don’t pay for any that you won’t use. To accomplish this, our pricing model allows you to select the exact number of users you need and the modules that are required for each group of users. Additional modules and users can be added at any time. Lockbox LIMS Standard User Pricing

Our Lockbox LIMS Standard Users and Administrators are priced as follows (before volume discounts):

  • Base User Price: $175/user/month
  • LIMS Add-On Modules (Instrument Management, Material/Inventory Management, Protocol Execution): $25/module/user/month
  • QMS Add-On Modules (Document Control, Quality Events, Training Management): $25/module/user/month
  • Next Generation Sequencing Add-On: $75/user/month

Standard User Volume Discounts

While our pricing is already competitive, we offer discounts for customers who purchase at least 10 users. The following discounts are available for standard users:

  • 10-24 Users: 10%
  • 25-49 Users: 20%
  • 50-99 Users: 30%
  • 100-149 Users: 35%
  • 150-199 Users: 40%
  • 200+ Users 45%

Label Printing

Whatever your lab does, you probably have Samples that need to be labeled. For clients with frozen Samples, we have a deep integration with Zebra printer software that enables you to print labels on a local printer or remotely via the cloud from anywhere in the world. If your labels don’t need to withstand sub-zero temperatures or harsh chemicals, we also support integration with Dymo label printers. Label printing integrations are priced on a per-month basis, regardless of the number of users:

  • Local Dymo Label Printing: $25 per month
  • Local Zebra Label Printing: $50 per month
  • Cloud Zebra Label Printing: $100 per month

Frequently Asked Questions

The pricing described above is for full users of Lockbox LIMS. If you have other users within your company who are read-only, limited-usage requestors, etc., they can have access to Lockbox LIMS at a much lower price point. Before volume discounts, these licenses cost $25 to $75 per user per month, depending on their functionality requirements. As with standard users, volume discounts are available.

Access for third-party portal users (e.g., Customers, Physicians, Nurses, Patients, Partners) is offered at our lowest price point. You determine exactly which data these users can access within Lockbox LIMS. All data remains securely stored in Lockbox LIMS and is up-to-the-second current. For less than 25 users, portal access costs $5 per user per month. Beginning with 25 users, our volume-discounted pricing ranges from $3 per user per month to as low as $1 per user per month.

There’s a minimum annual subscription cost of $9,000. Depending on the modules purchased, this includes access for 3 to 5 users.

You are welcome to mix and match licenses to ensure that all users have the exact licenses they need. However, we require that at least 5 users purchase any given combination of modules.

Every year at renewal, you can change your license counts. This is also the time when we recalculate your volume discounts. Throughout the year, you can add more licenses as needed, at the price per license that was established at the beginning of your subscription year. Please note that you cannot reduce the number of licenses during the subscription year.

When you purchase Lockbox LIMS licenses, they come with underlying Salesforce Platform licenses at no additional cost. Lockbox LIMS is a native application built directly on the Salesforce platform, utilizing Salesforce’s robust and secure infrastructure, but you do not need to purchase software licenses from Salesforce to use Lockbox LIMS.

There are no additional required recurring costs. The subscription fees above are all inclusive of annual software maintenance, cloud infrastructure, upgrades, etc.

Even though our LIMS pricing is in line with other LIMS vendors, Lockbox LIMS is more comprehensive and robust than other systems in terms of compliance, security, configurability, and availability. In addition, our LIMS customer service team is located 100% within the USA, Canada, and Europe.

Third Wave Analytics provides clinically verified releases every 9-12 months. These are installed upon request and never pushed. Salesforce, our platform, releases updates three times a year. These are scheduled and released automatically. They can be tested in a sandbox for 4-5 weeks prior to release.
